Lantern Commons PUD

Lantern Commons PUD

Westfield, Indiana

Lantern Commons is a planned mixed-use development located at the northeast corner of U.S. 31 and 161st Street in Westfield, Indiana. The approximately 60-acre Planned Unit Development (PUD) was designed to serve as a gateway development into Westfield, combining residential, commercial, office, hospitality, and community-oriented uses within a highly visible and accessible location.

The vision for Lantern Commons centers on a “Live, Work, Play” environment that brings together a diverse mix of land uses, including retail, restaurants, office space, hotel accommodations, senior living, multifamily residential, educational and institutional uses, and recreational amenities. The development was planned to create a strong sense of place while supporting Westfield’s continued growth and economic development.

A key feature of the project is its strategic location adjacent to U.S. 31, providing exposure to significant daily traffic volumes and convenient access to surrounding residential neighborhoods, employment centers, downtown Westfield, and Grand Park Sports Campus. Planned infrastructure improvements, including the Westfield Boulevard Connector and expanded multi-use trail connections, are intended to enhance regional connectivity, walkability, and accessibility throughout the development.

Overall, Lantern Commons represents a significant mixed-use investment that supports Westfield’s long-term vision for sustainable growth, economic vitality, and the creation of a vibrant destination for residents, visitors, and businesses alike.
